Mannequin (monochromatic)
|
The enigmatic and disquieting presence of the mannequin enhances the spectral nature of reality as it is portrayed in my paintings. This protagonist without face, standing in a timeless scene, speaks only the universal language of silence. It stands for the materialization of the idea devoid of any partiality. It is the mere outburst of imagination, a personal metaphor of the dreams of yesterday and the dreams of tomorrow. It stands for Adam as well as for Hercules, it stands for the heroes of history and mythology, it is above all the puppet that knows our joys and sorrows and the precarious state of the flexible condition of our mind. See the Mannequin (polychromatic) element. |
