Peter Cusimano has been active in the legal community:
Peter is activity involved in the local community where he is a member of various committees for several organizations where he volunteers his time and shares his knowledge and experience for such diverse activities as helping organize a Santa Claus Parade, helping to organize a community festival, and providing his input to improve the emergency department of a major hospital. His current involvement includes:
- Director and Past President, Rotary Club of Markham Sunrise - a non-for-profit organization serving the community, Markham, Ontario.
- Member, Community Partnership Initiative committee, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Emergency Department, Toronto
- Member, organizing committee, Markham Ribfest & Music Festival (2005-2010)
- Member, organizing committee, Markham Santa Claus Parade (2009-2010)
- Director of local ratepayers association
- Former instructor at the Law Society of Upper Canada, Computer Education Facility.
- Speaker at the Law Society of Upper Canada's seminar on starting and building a successful law firm.
- Author of article on law firm marketing using the Internet, Canadian Bar Association - YLD (Ontario).
- Author of article on factors to consider when starting a law firm, Canadian Bar Association - YLD (Ontario).
- Speaker at the Canadian Bar Association seminar "Smart Practice" presenting a strategy for the use of technology in a law practice.
